Abstract:
This paper presents equations, derived from the new solutions based on the theory of limit equilibrium, to calculate the bearing capacity of ground of homogeneous soil under the action of eccentric and inclined loads. Except that the selected sliding surface is formed by logarithmic helicoidal surface-logarithmic helicoidal surface-plane, no other simplifications or assumptions are made. The equations presented herein are applicable for failure modes of anteversion, retroversion and compression, showing their wide practical applicability.
