Abstract:
The linings of trapezoidal concrete canals in cold regions are prone to frost-heave damage, and both the frost-heave resistance and the water transport efficiency should be taken into account in the design of section. The frost-heave failure of a trapezoidal canal is analyzed by using the coupled analysis model for coupled heat-moisture-stress, and the frost-heave deformation and stress distribution are summarized. Then, the hydraulic design parameters and the anti-frost-heave design parameters of the canal are optimized with the two objectives. According to the requirements of the anti-frost-heave design code of the canal, the double-optimization design section of the water transport canal in the cold regionos is proposed.
