Abstract:
The zoning of structural homogeneity of rock mass is carried out according to the project features. In practice, we must choose the elements which have great influence on the project to be used as the basis of zoning. In view of the problem about the permeability characteristics of fractured rock mass, the zoning method for structural homogeneity, with combines the density partition method with the occurrence partition method, is put forward. The density partition method divides the absolute difference of density using the method of overlapping windows. The occurrence partition method first revises the deviation of actual frequencies of samples in contingency table and then uses the revised data to conduct independence tests to determine the homogeneous zones in the fractured rock mass. Based on the mathematical principles, the final homogeneous zones can be obtained through comprehensive consideration of the results of the above two kinds of partition methods. The propose method is applied the to drilling fractured rock mass, and the validity of its results is verified.
